Aryabhatta Vigyan Kendra in Ambala will be the first science centre of its kind: Anil Vij

Chandigarh, February 17- Haryana Technical Education and Science Minister, Anil Vij said that the proposed Aryabhatta Vigyan Kendra in Ambala will be the first science centre of its kind, where various aspects of science can be easily understood.

Vij was presiding over a meeting organized by the department in this regard today. He said that Aryabhatta was a great mathematician who invented zero. Information about Aryabhatta and other scientists will be given in this centre to be built on Aryabhatta’s name, he added.  He said that the Science centre building will have four floors, in which different disciplines of science will be displayed on different floors. The building on its ground floor will have a reception hall, space science exhibition, digital adventure gallery, planetarium, 3D auditorium, and other facilities for visitors.  Apart from this, information on earth, rockets, types of satellites, Indian satellite and space technologies will be made available in the Space Science exhibition.

He said that Fun Science Gallery, VR Theater, Innovation Hub, Science Sphere and other information will be available on its first floor.  He said that along with this a sports gallery will be constructed on the second floor, in which Haryana’s environment, wildlife and ecosystem, forest, agriculture and plant biotechnology, open theater and human development will be displayed.

Vij said that on the third floor of this science centre, information on instruments and equipment, Himalayas and Aravallis, nanotechnology and open roof to see the sky will be available. He said that in nanotechnology, visitors will have information about nanotechnology, its size and properties of objects, technology, utility of nanotechnology in nature, information about ancient practices and information related to nanotechnology being present everywhere.  All kinds of science related information will be received in this centre and this science centre will be made fully air-conditioned.

In the meeting, Director, National Science Center, Delhi, Rama Sarma gave a presentation about this science centre. Additional Chief Secretary, Science and Technology Department, Amit Jha and other officers were also present on the occasion.
