23rd Foundation Day Celebrations of HVPNL/HPGCL concluded
Chandigarh, August 14: On the joint initiative of Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited and Haryana Power Generation Limited, 23rd Foundation Day was organized at Red Bishop Panchkula.
Addressing as the chief guest on the occasion, Additional Chief Secretary Power Department, Sh. P.K. Das said that this year the highest ever demand of electricity was 12120 MW supplied during the peak demand period. Apart from this, Haryana Power Utilities has also set a new benchmark of success by ensuring the availability of 1000 MW electricity.
He said that Haryana performed better than its neighboring states during the lockdown.
While praising all the units of Haryana Power Utilities, he said that while on one front, the transmission loss has come down, on the other front, under Hamara Gaon Jagmag Gaon Abhiyan, 70 percent of the rural areas of Haryana have been provided 24×7 power supply.
Sh. Das said that we have provided defense equipment for the technical security staff. Under the scheme of CSR, libraries and sports nurseries are being set up at many places.
In the welcome speech, Managing Director HPGCL, Mohammad Shayin said that keeping in view, the demand for power supply, Haryana Power Generation Limited has increased its generation capacity from 864 MW to 2582 MW.
He said that realizing the concept of self-reliant India, we have to work by making a long life plan with an experienced team.
Offering vote of thanks, HVPN Managing Director, Sh. T.L. Satyaprakash said that Haryana has become an important state of India by reducing transmission loss. He said that we are far above the target set by HERC for power availability criteria.
In the protection of nature, a book Urdu Nazme was launched by the chief guest. A travel story documentary was also presented by HVPNL on this occasion, while HPGCL.
A painting camp was organized, in which eminent painter Dr. Ramviranjan, Dr. RS Pathania, Rakesh Vani Ali Khan senior painter Sameer from Delhi participated.
On this occasion, the theater workers and artists from Panipat enthralled the audience with their musical performances.
A Book Exhibition Vehicle will tour from August 14 to September 14. Additional Chief Secretary, Power Department, Sh. P.K. Das, Managing Director HPGCL. Mohd. Shayin, Managing Director HVPNL, Sh. TL. Satyaprakash jointly flagged off the book exhibition vehicle sent by the National Book Trust for “Akhil Haryana pustak Parikrama”. This “pustak parikrama yatra” will be completed on September 14, 2021 at Panchkula, Yamunanagar, Ambala, Kurukshetra, Karnal, Panipat, Sonipat, Rohtak, Jhajjar.
On this occasion, Sh. A.S Chugh, Sh. Sanjeev Bansal, Sh. DP Tiwari, Sh. RK Jain, Sh. Sanjay Bansal, Sh. Anil Dua, Anjum Chugh, SE, Sh. Sanjay Arora, SE Iqbal OSD/ACS and hundreds of people including , Sh. Yogesh Gupta, OSD/MD HPGCL, Sh. Surendra Mittal, OSD MD HVPNL, Sh. Sunil Sharma ACN, Sh. Chandraveer, ACN, Sh.
