Birthday of Jait village to be celebrated on Narmada Jayanti

Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan will start celebration of the birthdays of villages and towns in the state on February 8 from Jait village in Sehore district. A meeting of Gram Sabha will be held on the issue of development of villages. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan will also plant saplings with the villagers.

The Chief Minister’s idea of celebrating the birthday of villages and cities is an environment and development friendly idea. The birthday of villages or towns will be like a pride day for the people living there. The practice will be started from Jait village of Sehore district in the state. There will be a discussion about the development of villages in the Gram Sabha. Villagers will make plans for the development of their village in the Gram Sabha. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that in future such programmes would be held at other places as well, which would also become an opportunity for the local citizens to take a pledge to always contribute for the progress of their village and city.

It may be noted that Madhya Pradesh Foundation Day, which is also the birthday of Madhya Pradesh, has also become a special event day due to the efforts of Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan. This initiative was taken about ten years ago. On this day, the officers and employees of Mantralaya sing the national song Vande Mataram and a grand cultural programme is held.

In the districts also, programmes are organized on the birthday of the state, that is, on the foundation day. Now by organizing programs on different dates in the form of birthdays at the village and city level, the feeling of pride towards their village, city and state will increase among the citizens of the state.
