CEC Feroz Khan attends final match of DPL 2022

KARGIL, OCTOBER 10 :-  
Chairman/CEC, LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan today attended the concluding ceremony of Dardic Premier League tournament 2022 organized by the Dardic Legions Shimsha at Khree Sultan Cho Sports Stadium Biamathang.
Councilor for Shargole Consituency, Mohd Ali Chandan, President Humas Upliftment Drass, Mehraj Mushtaq, players and sports enthusiasts were present during the occasion.
In his address, the CEC congratulated the organizers for successful conduct of the tournament and expressed optimism that the step will go a long way in generating interest among the youngsters about cricket. Khan said LAHDC Kargil is committed to provide all necessary facilities to players to upgrade their skills.
He said a good number of works for construction of various sports related infrastructure is going on in full swing in the district for which adequate funds have been allocated under different schemes.
The CEC assured players and sports enthusiasts that people will witness drastic change in sports related infrastructure and facilities in near future which will prove instrumental in the promotion of sports culture besides also providing adequate platform to budding players to showcase and hone their sporting skills.
Pertaining to the improvement of infrastructure and other logistics of the stadium, Khan assured that dressing rooms for players and other provisions will be kept in the new pavilion which is under construction.
The final match was played between Dardic Legends Shimsha and New Era Legends wherein DLS Shimsha won over New Era Legend by 41 runs and lifted the trophy.
The winning team was rewarded with a trophy and cash prize of Rs 1 lakh while the runners up team received a trophy with cash prize of Rs 75,000.
Mohd Mashkur from DLS, Shimsha was declared man of the match and Mussa Khuddam man of the series for their role throughout the tournament.
Meanwhile, the winner and runner-up teams were also felicitated with medals by the dignitaries. A total of 100 teams from different parts of the district participated in the tournament.
