Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur inaugurated and laid foundation stones of developmental projects worth Rs. 28.11 crore at Kataula in Darang assembly constituency of Mandi district today. He announced opening of ITI at Darang vidhan Sabha area from next session.
The developmental projects inaugurated by the Chief Minister at Kataula are Rs. 3.69 crore Community Health Centre building at Kataula, Rs.2.04 crore Water Supply Scheme Prashar, Kalang, Solang and remodelling of WSS Uttarshal area in tehsil Sadar, Rs. 1.17 crore science lab building in Government Senior Secondary School Kataula, Rs. 4.38 crore Purana Kataula to Kundhak road under PMGSY, Rs. 96 lakh residential accommodation for District Treasury Officer at Khaliyar and 1.06 crore modern JICA Nursery at Kamand.
Jai Ram Thakur laid foundation stones of developmental projects worth Rs. 14.81 crore at Kataula including Rs. 1.99 crore on providing balance functional house tap connections in Gram Panchayat Shegli in tehsil Sadar, Rs. 7.09 crore Kataula-Bodandhar-Kundak-Tihari-Kalang-Pantosh road under NABARD, Rs. 27 lakh residence building for Junior Engineer Kamand, Rs. 35 lakh Assistant Engineer residence at Kamand, Rs. 1.87 crore Lift Water Supply Scheme from Jhutharu Nallah to Shri Dev Prashar Temple in Gram Panchayat Segli in tehsil Sadar and improvement of water distribution system in Gram Panchayat Kataula, Kamand and augmentation of Water Supply Scheme Riyari Lanjhnoo in tehsil Sadar to be done at a cost of Rs. 3.24 crore.
While addressing people at Kataula, Chief Minister said that the State Government has ensured equitable and balanced development of the State. He said that the former senior Minister of the State, who represented Darang area several time was questioning the development going on in the area. He advised the leader not to issue baseless statements as people of Darang area were well aware of their interests. He said that the State Government during the Covid-19 pandemic ensured that no one suffer for want of health facilities. He said that the State had only 50 ventilators in the State when the pandemic broke in, whereas today the State has over 600 ventilators. He said that today India was producing over 10 lakh PPE kits whereas a year and a half back not even a single PPE kit was prepared in India. He said that the former Health Minister belonging to this area must answer what his Government has done in the State in health sector in last fifty years.
Chief Minister thanked the people of the State for their wholehearted support during the last about three and a half years. He said that it was due to their blessings that the BJP won all the elections held in the State after 2018. He also urged the people of the area to keep this benevolence going for the years to come. He said that the State has lost four senior leaders in last few months, due to which bye elections of Jubbal-Kotkhai, Arki and Fetahpur vidhan sabha and Mandi Lok Sabha would be held soon.
Jai Ram Thakur said that several schemes have been launched in the State for ensuring welfare of every section of the society and every area of the State.
Chief Minister announced upgradation of Government Middle School Chhakaryal to High School. He announced Rs. 20 lakh for construction of examination hall of Government Senior Secondary School Kataula.
Chief Minister also planted sapling under ‘Ek Buta Beti Ke Naam’ Yojna. He also presented a sapling to parents of girl child under ‘Ek Buta Beti Ke Naam Yojna’ and also released poster of JICA.
Several social, cultural and religious organisations, NGOs and Mahila Mandals and Yuvak Mandals honoured the Chief Minister.
MLA Darang Jawahar Thakur thanked the Chief Minister for dedicating and laying foundation stones of developmental projects about Rs 200 crore in Darang vidhan sabha area. He said that Prashar area of the constituency was one of the most beautiful areas of the State and should be developed from tourism point of view. He also thanked the Chief Minister for creating 16 new panchayats in Darang vidhan sabha area. He also urged the Chief Minister for opening ITI in the area and detailed various developmental demands of the area.
