Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kupwara, Nazir Ahmad Lone today started cleanliness drive at tourist spot Bungus, here. Speaking on the occasion, the ADC said that the district administration Kupwara puts all efforts to develop required infrastructure and services for tourist visiting the virgin beauty of famous Bungus tourist spot.He said cleanliness drive is a important part of the work of district administration and the motive of the drive to spread the sense of responsibility among general public and visitors to save the natural beauty like Bungus Valley. ADC said that there is already a separate Lolab-Bungus-Drangyari- Development-Authority (LBDDA) to look after the development of the tourist spots of the district including Bungus.
He said the Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj has joined hands with the LBDDA to ensure cleanliness of the Bungus Valley. The ADC was accompanied by District Panchayat Officer, Shujaat Ahmad, and other concerned government functionaries.
