Cooperative Department Kargil today organized a program to commemorate the inauguration of 10,000 new Multipurpose Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (M-PACS), Dairy and Fishery Cooperative Societies by the Hon’ble Home and Cooperation Minister, Government of India.
The event was attended by over 100 members of PACS from various villages and cooperative staff. Executive Councillor, Cooperatives, LAHDC, Kargil, Er Punchok Tashi, was the chief guest, while Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil, Shrikant Balasaheb Suse and Registrar Cooperatives, UT Ladakh, Syed Sajjad Qadri were the guests of honor.
During the program, the Deputy Registrar Cooperative Department Kargil, Dr. Zakir Hussain presented a comprehensive PowerPoint presentation highlighting the department’s achievements, activities, and registration of cooperatives in different sectors.
The Nodal Officer PACS/ARC Kargil and ARC Audit also shared insights on the activities of PACS in the district, registration processes, and auditing.
Registrar Cooperatives UT Ladakh, Syed Sajjad Qadri emphasized the importance of cooperative members becoming self-dependent and encouraged them to strive for high business standards. He assured his best support to the Cooperatives for their upliftment.
Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil, Shrikant Balasaheb Suse stressed the need for hard work and self-sufficiency among cooperative members and assured administrative support for their upliftment at every stage.
He also stressed the department to start work with the Rural Development Department in convergence for upliftment of the Cooperatives. He appreciated the department’s dedication and efforts in promoting cooperatives despite manpower shortages.
EC Tashi expressed happiness with the event’s success and the department’s efforts. He assured cooperation and support from LAHDC Kargil for the upliftment of cooperative societies.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Deputy Registrar Cooperative Department, Dr. Zakir Hussain, who expressed gratitude to all participants and guests.
