Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Covid Care Centers should be made multi-purpose where mild patients can be provided with better treatment facilities. He has appealed to postpone marriage programmes until the infection is under control. He has said that Corona is an enemy of humanity. Forgetting all discrimination, everyone will have to make concerted efforts to break the chain of Corona infection. Chief Minister Chouhan was reviewing Covid control in 16 districts through video conferencing from his residence today. The meeting included Bhopal, Gwalior, Betul, Datia, Vidisha, Sehore, Morena, Shivpuri, Hoshangabad, Ashok Nagar, Raisen, Rajgarh, Guna, Harda, Sheopur and Bhind districts.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that the rate of infection has reduced due to everyone’s combined efforts. It has come down from 25 percent to 21.5 percent. The recovery rate has also increased from 80.41 percent to 82.28 percent. He said that this is the result of honest efforts, but the fight is big and long. Therefore, infection control efforts should be strictly implemented. There should be no laxity in it. He directed to strengthen the arrangements of community health centers so that arrangements can be made for quick and better treatment of patients in rural areas. He called for the need to conduct survey work effectively for identification in the early stages of infection.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that continuous efforts are being made to supply oxygen and Remdesivir injection. Injections should be given only on the advice of doctors. The work of distribution should be made transparent, a photo of the injected person should also be taken. He instructed to prepare additional options of oxygen supply in Gwalior district.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that the areas where Janata curfew has been self imposed have shown better control. Appreciating the decision of Kurwai MLA Hari Singh Sapre to postpone the marriage date of his daughter, he said that the public should be motivated by presenting such examples. He said that patients should not be accompanied by a large number of family members. He stressed the need for an effective review of home isolation arrangements. Chief Minister Chouhan appreciated the efforts made by the districts by marking Corona-free villages and blocking the entry of visitors from outside. He called for extending such efforts. He has asked to make similar arrangements in urban areas by creating micro-containment zones. He said that the spread of infection is very rapid. Therefore, areas which have been successfully controlled, should carry on control efforts. Laxity of any kind may prove to be fatal.

Chief Minister Chouhan appreciated the efforts of the ministers in-charge, public representatives, social workers and officer-employees for the efforts being made for Corona control. He said that Corona can be defeated with the cooperation and restraint of all. The Chief Minister was apprised with the arrangements for infection control efforts, home isolation, operators of Covid Care Centers by the Collector and members of the Disaster Management Committee. They informed about the inspirational, restrictive and punitive actions taken for effective control of Janata curfew.
