SAMBA, MAY 21, 2021: To manage Covid-19 cases in rural areas, District Administration Samba, today established Covid care centres in 92 out of total 101 Panchayats of the district having necessary arrangements for isolation and medical care of Covid-19 patients.
Deputy Commissioner, Anuradha Gupta, said that the facility has been created in consonance with the decision of Government of UT J&K taken in this regard. “The initiative aims at to tackle mild to moderate Covid cases in rural areas by establishing 5 bedded Covid care centres in each Panchayat,” she added.
She said PRI members including sarpanchs and panchs have immensely cooperated in establishing the Covid care centre in these Panchayats.
“The Society is supplementing the efforts of administration and we are hopeful to effectively contain the Covid spread in district” added DC Samba.
It was informed that the Covid care centres in each Panchayat have been equipped with 05 isolated beds, Covid kits having medicines, Ayurvedic medicines for immunity boosting, oximeters, glucometers, well trained medical staff and other necessary equipments as per the requirements.
