To convert the unorganized labour sector into an organized one, the District Bureau of Employment and Enterprises Bureau (DBEE) today organized a labour registration camp at YPS Chowk.

Disclosing this here, Deputy CEO DBEE Manjesh Sharma informed that the camp was organized to collect the data of labourers on the directives of Deputy Commissioner Ms. Isha Kalia. He added that the registration activity had been postponed due to COVID protocols but now the activity has started with full vigour. He apprised that data of 27 labourers have been collected during the camp, which will be shared with leading builders as per their requirements.
Underlining the role of unorganized labour in the economy, Mr. Sharma said that the unorganised sector has a crucial role in our economy in terms of employment and its contribution to the National Domestic Product, savings and capital formation. He informed that the data also to be shared with Industry as and when required.
