DC reviews COVID-19 preparedness, vaccination status in Kargil
KARGIL, APRIL 16, 2021: Deputy Commissioner and CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Santosh Sukhadeve convened a meeting with regard to the preparedness of the Health Department Kargil to deal with the COVID-19 situation, COVID-19 Vaccination and other related aspects with the concerned officers at DC Office here today.
Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Kargil Dr Munawar Hussain Wazir , Medical Superintendent District Hospital Kargil Haji Muhammad Ali , District Immunization Officer Dr Muhammad Abbass, Nodal Officer Dedicated COVID-19 Hospital Kargil Dr Abdul Jalil, District Surveillance Officer, Nodal Officer COVID-19 Laboratory and other concerned officers of Health Department were also present in the meeting.
The Deputy Commissioner while reviewing the present status of COVID-19 vaccination and COVID-19 preparedness in the district directed the concerned officers to remain prepared in all respects to deal with the situation. He appreciated the Health Department Kargil for delivering exemplary services in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic in the district during last year, adding he urged them to work with continued dedication and motivation.
The CMO Kargil informed that a total of 28,962 beneficiaries including persons above 60 years, 45 to 59 years besides the Health Care Workers and Frontline Workers have been inoculated so far while the vaccination in case of the remaining beneficiaries is going on in full swing.
While taking stock of the present status of vaccination besides quarantine and isolation measures, DC Santosh Sukhadeve directed the CMO Kargil and other concerned officers to accelerate the pace of vaccination, reduce wastage of vaccines besides increasing the bedding capacity at the district headquarter and blocks.
Earlier, the CMO Kargil informed the meeting about the status of Covid Care Centers, availability of medicines, logistics, testing facilities, vaccination status, quarantine centers, bedding capacity, facilities at Dedicated COVID-19 Hospital besides necessary arrangements for screening of travellers at all screening points.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner directed to prepare 500 bedded capacity for COVID-19 related cases at the district headquarters besides 20 beds each at Community Health Centres (CHCs) and 10 beds each at all Primary Health Centers (PHCs).
