Discussions held for making biscuits and Namkeen along with other food products by using millet: Dr. Banwari Lal
Chandigarh, April 3: Haryana Co-operation Minister, Dr. Banwari Lal said that detailed discussions have been held with various companies regarding making of various bakery products including biscuits and Namkeen along with other food products by using millet. He said that the State Government will ensure the adequate availability of Millet for the production of Biscuits and other products to Parle-G company.
The Minister gave this information, while addressing the problems of the people of Bawal Assembly Constituency. He said that during present times due to the consumption of millet its demand is increasing and the State has procured 7.76 lakh Metric Tonnes of millet during the Kharif season.
“Millet is cultivated in southern Haryana and when the Namkeen and biscuits of millet will begin to be produced, then the farmers of this region will certainly be benefited, “said the Minister.
Dr. Banwari Lal said that wheat procurement has started in the Mandis of the state from April 1, 2021 and extensive arrangements have been made by the government ensuring that farmers visiting the Mandis do not face any kind of problem.
He said that the State Government is farmer-friendly and today farmers are getting fair prices for their crops. He informed that in the booklet released by Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal, necessary information regarding the procurement process is available for all the 12 stakeholders
The booklet describes the functions and rights of the Farmer, Secretary of the Market Committee, GateKeeper, Auction Recorder, Inspector, Arhtiyas, Transporter, Warehouse Keeper, District Manager, Payment, Purchaser, and Marketing Board Administrator. The booklet also mentions the method of filling the information regarding the farmers, the log-in form, Meri Fasal Mera Byora, Parivar Pehchan Patra and information about how the payment will be made.
