Documents Validity for Vehicles Extended

Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has  extended the validity of documents related to Vehicles Act, 1988 and Central, Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989 for relaxation in permit fees/taxes etc. The Ministry taking into consideration the grim situation due to prevailing conditions for prevention of spread of Corona Virus across the Country has decided that the validity of fitness, permit (all types), driving license, registration or any other documents whose extension of validity could not be, or was not likely to be, granted due to lockdown / COVID and which had expired since February 1st, 2020 or would expiry by both June 30th, 2021 be treated to be valid till June 30th, 2021. Enforcement authorities are suggested to treat such documents valid till June 30th, 2021. This will help out Citizens in availing transport related services.
