Giljian expressed gratitude towards the Chief Minister for providing financial assistance to construction workers on Diwali

Chandigarh, November 3:

Punjab Labour Minister Sangat Singh Giljian today extended gratitude towards Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi for providing financial assistance of Rs. 3100 to the construction workers on the occasion of Diwali.

In a press communiqué issued here today, Mr. Giljian said that we had initiated the process of preparing a proposal for financial assistance on the occasion of Diwali to the construction workers registered with the Board of Construction Workers of the Punjab Government around two days ago and last night this file was sent to the Chief Minister for final approval.

He stated that he met with the Chief Minister about this file at 10 am today and apprised him about it on which the Chief Minister immediately gave consent. He said that this amount would be credited to the accounts of the beneficiaries this evening.
