Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) state unit president and MP Bhagwant Mann, reacting to the recent rollback by Punjab government on its absurd decision to sell the ‘donated’ plasma (blood cells) at Rs 20,000 per unit to corona patients undergoing treatment at various hospitals, saying it the victory of the people of the state. Mann had a piece of advisory for Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh, saying he should introspect and reconsider dozens such decisions as were suicidal to the people of Punjab.
In a statement issued from party headquarters late on Thursday evening, Mann said Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh had been under pressure to rollback on the malicious decision following humongous public outrage, adding the leaders of political parties, including the Aam Aadmi Party, deserved a huge round of applause for pitching in against the decision.
Mann said the Aam Aadmi Party, as the principal opposition party, would continue to perform its duty earnestly by raising its voice against the suicidal policies of the state and central governments in the interest of the people.
The AAP MP urged Capt Amarinder Singh to go the whole hog to rollback on a number of decisions which were suicidal to the interest of Punjab and its people.
Mann said the Capt. Amarinder Singh govt should put an end to the open plunder of the people by the all kinds of mafia, instead of taking such unnecessary and uncalled for decisions, as might burn a big hole in the pockets of the people.
