Haryana Government directs cooperative societies to upload their records on web portal

Chandigarh, December 11: Haryana Government has directed all cooperative societies registered in the State to upload their records on the web portal rcsharyana.gov.in, at the earliest. Strict action will be taken against those societies which fail to comply with these directions.

While stating this here today, Additional Chief Secretary, Cooperation Department, Mr. Sanjeev Kaushal, said that the Department was undertaking uploading of data of all Cooperative Group Housing Societies and Cooperative House Building Societies, which number around 1,200, on priority basis. Target has been set to complete this work by December 31, 2020. Data of about 400 such societies has already been uploaded on the portal.

He said that the availability of the data online would not only bring more transparency in operations, but would also help in resolving disputes. It would also facilitate the people who wish to buy or rent a plot or flat in these societies, as they would be able to access all basic details about the societies through the web portal. The Department has already been carrying out registration of new societies in online mode only, he added.

Office bearers of the respective societies may log in to the portal using the username and password which have already been provided to them. They would then simply have to fill up a form with details such as name of the society, registration number and date, number of members, dates of last general body meeting and audit, details of election and office-bearers, date of allotment of land, date of possession or occupancy certificate, whether building plan is approved or not, names of plot or flat owners and whether these are occupied or not, and details of the liabilities of the society.

Kaushal said that under the Haryana Cooperative Societies Act, 1984, action would be taken against the office-bearers of the Managing Committees of those societies, which fail to upload their data within the given time. The Department would also stop providing any service to such societies, he added.

There are presently about 18,200 cooperative societies registered in the State, of which 10,500 are functional. These include Primary Agriculture Cooperative Societies (PACS), Cooperative Labour and Constructions Societies, Cooperative Group Housing Societies, Cooperative House Building Societies and Cooperative Transport Societies.
