Haryana Government to open a ‘Nature and Traffic Interpretation Centre’
Chandigarh, January 7 – With an aim to make youth studying in colleges aware of the ‘traffic rules and nature’ the Haryana Government has decided to open a ‘Nature and Traffic Interpretation Centre’.
Giving information in this regard an official spokesperson of the Higher Education Department said that on behalf of the Director General of the Department, the principals of all the Government and Aided Colleges have been instructed to set up ‘Nature and Traffic Interpretation Centres’ in their respective colleges. It will be mandatory for the youth studying in colleges to register in these Centres and one Assistant Professor or Associate Professor will be appointed as the Nodal Officer of the Centre.
The spokesperson said that the main objective of setting up ‘Nature and Traffic Interpretation Centre’ in the colleges is to make the youth aware of environmental protection and engage them in nature-related activities. Presently, with the rise in vehicular traffic, negligence of people and unawareness of traffic rules there is increase in accidents every day. Thus, in view of this, the State Government has given instructions that youth studying in colleges should get themselves registered in the ‘Nature and Traffic’ Centres with an aim to make the them aware of traffic rules.
