Haryana: Khadi Gram Udyog Board Incharge among three held accepting bribes worth Rs 30,000

Chandigarh, July 20 – Haryana State Vigilance Bureau has registered two cases and arrested three persons including Khadi Gram Udyog Board Incharge and Computer operator for taking bribes worth Rs 30,000.

Sharing the information here today, the spokesperson of the Bureau said that in the first case, accused Khadi Gram Udyog Board Incharge, Panipat Anil Kumar and Computer Operator Vijay Kumar were arrested for accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000 in lieu of uploading score card of the complainant on Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) portal to issue a loan of Rs 25 lakh through the Board for dairy business. Accused Anil Kumar also holds the additional charge of district Jind and Sonipat. In this regard, a case has been registered against them at Bureau’s police station in Karnal.

In another case, accused Yusuf Khan (private person), a resident of district Palwal has been caught red-handed for taking a bribe of Rs 10,000 in lieu of getting the registration of a plot done in Hathin tehsil. According to the complainant, accused Yusuf demanded Rs 1000 for himself, Rs 1500 for computer operator, Rs 3500 for Tehsildar and remaining amount of Rs 4000 as a government registration fee.

Case under the Prevention of Corruption Act has been registered against arrested accused Yusuf Khan in Faridabad and further investigation of the case is on.
