Haryana State Vigilance Bureau caught Patwari red-handed in Kaithal while accepting a bribe
Chandigarh, April 1: Haryana State Vigilance Bureau caught a Patwari red-handed in Kaithal while accepting a bribe of Rs. 5000.
Giving information about the same an official spokesperson said that Amit Kumar of Village Sisla had filed a complaint with the State Vigilance Bureau that one Ashok Kumar, Patwari, Kaithal was demanding a bribe of Rs. 5000 from him for the mutation (Intkal) of agriculture land of seven Kanal and 11.64 Marlas.
He said that after receiving information, the State Vigilance Bureau, Ambala registered a case under the Prevention of Corruption Act, and a team headed by Inspector Balwant Singh was constituted. City Magistrate, Kaithal, Sh. Amit Kumar and Superintendent, DC Office, Kaithal were appointed as Duty Magistrate and Shadow Witness respectively, he added.
He said that Ashok Kumar, Patwari, Kaithal was caught red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs. 5000 by the team of State Vigilance Bureau, Kaithal in the presence of Duty Magistrate and Shadow Witness. The accused is being questioned and the investigation is underway, he added.
