The Transport Minister was on his way from Chandigarh to Sonipat to attend a meeting on Wednesday. Near Ganaur, he saw that some State Roadways drivers were taking their route over the flyover. He immediately stopped such buses and urged the drivers to take the passengers waiting under the flyover. He said that if the state roadways bus will pass through the flyover then private bus operators will take advantage of this and the state government will also suffer revenue loss and the passengers will face inconvenience.
He said that directions have already been given to the drivers by the department to stop the buses at each bus stoppage so that the buses plying on the routes do not travel vacant. If the buses ply vacant on the routes, then it will cause a revenue loss to the department. He explained to the drivers and operators that they are the backbone of the roadways department. If they will perform their duty honestly, then the roadways department will be strengthened and the common people will get more benefit from it.
On this occasion, the Transport Minister has also directed the officials of the State Roadways Department to keep checking on the National Highway in the same manner from time to time and ensure that no bus passes over the flyover.
