Chandigarh, February 3: Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, Dushyant Chautala said that Haryana will play a important role in civil aviation sector. Soon, the construction of three hangars for repair and maintenance of aircraft in the state will be completed.
The Deputy Chief Minister who also holds the portfolio of Civil Aviation Department today on behalf of Chief Minister, Manohar Lal participated at the Mega Event of “Aero India 2021 being held at Bengaluru.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that because of the far-sighted and optimistic thinking of the State Government, Haryana’s Civil Aviation Sector has been revolutionized.
He informed that the government has come up with an important project. Under this, in the first phase, the target was to give Hisar airport the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) license in September 2018.
Simultaneously, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Public Welfare Scheme RCS UDAN the second target was to start the movement of people by small planes (Air Taxi) to their regional destinations. In this sequence, for the first time in India, under the flying project trough Small planes (Air Taxis), the movement of Air passengers to various destinations was started and it is running smoothly.
The second phase includes environmental clearance and construction of 10,000 feet long runway. Through the dedicated efforts of the Integrated Aviation Hub, environmental approval has been obtained and the work of constructing the runway has started at a rapid pace.
At the same time, the construction work of three huge hangars for the repair and maintenance of the aircraft is about to be completed in which Airbus 320, Boeing, ATR, Q-400 etc. can be conveniently maintained.
The third phase involves the construction of two parallel runways, large terminal building and cargo port etc.
Chautala said that this project includes immense possibilities of employment in the field of air training, air handling and repair etc.
