Haryana’s cancer, kidney and HIV patients to be given a pension of Rs 2250 per month and government will soon increase the old age pension: Om Prakash Yadav

Chandigarh, February 16- Haryana Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Om Prakash Yadav said that on the lines of old age pension the state’s cancer, kidney and HIV patients will be given a pension of Rs 2,250 per month and the government will also soon increase the old age pension.

He said that about 25,000 beneficiaries of the three categories suffering from cancer, kidney and HIV will get its benefit.  A status report has been sought from the CMOs of all the districts in this regard.  It will be implemented as soon as the report is submitted.

Yadav said that the entire staff of the Health Department was busy during the lockdown imposed due to COVID-19, which led to delay in implementation of the said scheme, however, now it will be implemented soon.
