Tocilizumab and Remdesivir injections will be made available in all
the medical colleges for serious corona patients

Health Minister Dr Raghu Sharma has directed to make available tocilizumab and remdesivir injections in all the medical colleges in the State for serious COVID-19 patients. These injections have been prepared by the senior experts of Sawai Man Singh Hospital.
Dr Sharma said that the most important management of COVID-19 is to prevent the human loss due to corona. He said that the intention of Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot is that there should be no death due to corona. He said that arrangements have been made to provide tocilizumab and remdesivir injections at Jaipur, Jodhpur Bikaner, Kota, Ajmer and Udaipur Medical Colleges.
The Health Minister said that Jaipur, Alwar, Dausa, Jhunjhunu, Sikar, Dholpur, Karauli and Sawai Madhopur districts can get these injections from Jaipur Medical College. Similarly, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Barmer, Jalore, Pali and Sirohi districts can get these injections from Jodhpur Medical College; Bikaner, Sriganganagar, Hanumangarh and Churu districts from Bikaner Medical College; Kota, Bundi, Jhalawar and Baran districts from Kota Medical College; Ajmer, Tonk, Nagaur and Bhilwara from Ajmer Medical College and Udaipur, Rajsamand, Pratapgarh, Dungarpur and Banswara districts can get these injections from Udaipur Medical College. He said that in future, RMSCL will supply the injections as per the demand.
The Health Minister said that the result of this special injection has been 100%. The cost of this injection is around Rs 40,000. Despite this injection being costly, the State Government has made arrangements to make it available at all the medical colleges. He said that according to the state-level medical expert core group this injection, if required, should be used on serious corona patients after complete testing under the supervision of experts.
Dr Sharma said that the State Government is totally alert and cautious about corona and is making all possible efforts to control corona. He said that along with the government, if the general public lives their life responsibly by following all the protocol then it would become easy to defeat corona.
