Chandigarh, January 31- The Punjab Higher Education and Languages Minister Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa, has condoled the death of noted Punjabi writer and teacher Dr. Dalip Kaur Tiwana (84). She was hospitalised due to lung infection and respiratory issues few days back and was under treatment at Max Hospital, Mohali.
Expressing deep grief over the death of Dr. Tiwana, the Punjab Higher Education and Languages Minister prayed to almighty to grant eternal peace to the departed soul and give strength to the family members to bear this loss.
Dr. Dalip Kaur Tiwana made great contribution to Punjabi literature through her novels and short stories. She was honored with the Padma Shri and Sahitya Academy Award for her outstanding contribution in the field of literature and education.
