Slamming the Narendra Modi-led centre government on the issue of the three black farm laws, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab president and Member of Parliament, Bhagwant Mann said if the Modi government was persistent on its stubborn stance; then the AAP was also firmly standing with the farmers.
In a statement issued on Friday, Bhagwant Mann said he had raised the voice of the farmers in Parliament, continuously for two weeks and had moved adjournment motions consecutively in the House, seeking discussion only on repeal of the black farm laws.
Taking a dig at Narendra Modi, Bhagwant Mann said that the stubborn policy of the PM was baleful for the ‘annadatas’ and the country; and he should abandon this. The AAP MP demanded the Modi government to repeal the three black farm laws and recede from introducing the deadly Electricity Amendment Bill in the interest of the farmers.
“On one hand, the farmers are fighting for their lands and survival; while on the other hand, Modi under his stubbornness is fighting for a few corporate houses, which is condemnable,” he said. Bhagwant Mann said Modi should act like a Prime Minister for everyone and not only for his favorite corporate houses.
