Modi government found opportunity to do scam during Covid pandemic

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) senior leader and Deputy Leader of Opposition in the Punjab Assembly, Saravjit Kaur Manuke and MLA and party’s Youth Wing president Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer said that in the name of essential vaccine for prevention from Covid-19, loot was going on in Punjab and the entire country.
The leaders asked that at a time when the government does not have vaccines, then from where the private hospitals were coming with the vaccines. In a statement issued from the party headquarters here on Saturday, Saravjit Kaur Manuke and Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer said that the Narendra Modi-led central government, which had called for an opportunity in the disaster, had found an opportunity to do a scam during the Covid pandemic.
“What is the nexus between the Modi government and the companies that the poor of the country are left at God’s mercy during the pandemic?” questioned the leaders. They alleged that some private hospitals were charging Rs 1,200 to Rs 1,500 for the Covid vaccine. The leaders said that the private companies were also focused on money during the pandemic and vaccine companies were plundering the states and the people economically for vaccines. Criticizing Captain Amarinder Singh’s government, Saravjit Kaur Manuke said that the state government was mediating between private hospitals and companies; that is why the Captain government had given a chance to private hospitals to openly loot. She questioned why the government did not have control over the private hospitals and vaccines.
Meet Hayer said that Punjab had the highest death toll from Covid pandemic in the country, but Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh was not worried. “ICU beds are still not available in many districts of the state and vaccines are not available in government hospitals,” he said. Hayer further said that the Congress government of Punjab like the Narendra Modi government at the Centre had abandoned the people of the state and they will definitely take account of this from the Congress party in the 2022 assembly elections.
