Interstate gang member involved in looting mobile shops arrested in Nuh

Chandigarh Feb 11 – Haryana Police has arrested a member of an interstate gang involved in burglaries in about 30 mobile showrooms in Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh from Nuh district.

Giving the information here today, a Haryana Police spokesperson informed that a team of Crime Investigation Agency after getting secret input about the presence of an interstate gang member near new bus adda Taoru had conducted a raid and arrested the accused identified as Tareef, a resident of Bawla, Nuh.

During interrogation, accused Tareef confessed to carrying out about 30 incidents of theft in Haryana and other states. Some of the theft cases are as follows –

  1. About 3 years ago, he along with his associates, broke the mobile showroom in Karol Bagh, Delhi and has stolen the electronic gadgets.
  2. About 3 months ago, he along with his associates broke the mobile showroom and stole the mobile from Ghaziabad, Meerut.
  3. About 1 month ago, the accused along with his accused accomplices broke the mobile showroom in Mumbai (Maharashtra) to commit theft.
  4. About 12 days ago, the accused has stolen mobiles from a showroom in Durgesh (Chhattisgarh).
  5. About 10-days ago, he along with his associates, stole mobiles from village Rajnand (Chhattisgarh).

The accused will be taken on police remand for thorough interrogation and recovery.
