Jeevan Dhara’ providing Covid test facility in remote areas

SHIMLA JUNE 1, 2021:

A Spokesperson of Health Department informed here today that the State Government works was providing RAT sampling facility under ‘Jeevan Dhara’ in remote areas. He added that Jeevan Dhara medical mobile units were playing an important role to deliver Covid related service at the doorsteps of the people.

He added that till date the 10 ‘Jeevan Dhara’ MMUs have conducted 5267 RAT sampling across seven districts in the State. Out of these 543 Covid positive cases were detected. The maximum 1398 tests were conducted in district Mandi with 66 positive cases. 1137 tests were conducted in Kangra with 218 positive cases, 912 Shimla were conducted in Kangra with 98 positive cases, 672 were conducted in Kullu with 47 positive cases, 534 were conducted in Solan with 27 positive cases, 318 were conducted in Chamba with 67 positive cases and 296 were conducted in Sirmaur with 20 positive cases, The total positivity rate for the sampling done by Jeevan Dhara is 10.3 percent.

He said that Covid testing facilities were being provided through Jeevan Dhara to increase the testing of the people of remote areas to detect disease timely so that treatment can be ensured to them.
