Khelo India Youth Games-2021 begins from today in Haryana

Strong start with Haryana’s victory in the first matches of volleyball and kabaddi

Chandigarh, June 3 – With the efforts of Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal, the fourth edition of Khelo India Youth Games-2021, being held in Haryana, began today with the matches of Volleyball and Kabaddi, in which the young players of Haryana won the first match of volleyball while playing against the team of Tamil Nadu. In Kabaddi as well, the girls opened their account with the victory over the Punjab team.

Tau Devi Lal Sports Complex located in Sector-3 of Panchkula has been given an International Status for these games. Players from 36 States provinces and Union Territories across the country have reached with their sports staff and are visiting the Volleyball court, Kabaddi, Basketball, Hockey, Synthetic Warm-up Track, Athletic Track, Badminton Hall built within the sports complex with their coaches. All the players and their sports staff are appreciating the arrangements made by the Haryana Government.

Haryana’s started the games with victory in Volleyball and Kabaddi

In the Volleyball opening match, Haryana started off with a thumping win over Tamil Nadu 3-1. Haryana won 25-19 in the first set, 26-24 in the second, 15-25 in the third and 26-24 in the fourth set. In the girls’ Volleyball match, Kerala beat Chhattisgarh by 25-12, 20-25, 25-15, 19-25 and 15-12 points in a tough match. Similarly, in Girls’ Kabaddi, Haryana beat Punjab by 60-24 points while Andhra Pradesh beat Chandigarh by 40-28 points and in Boys’ Kabaddi, Himachal Pradesh beat Chandigarh by 77-15 points. In the volleyball second match, Uttar Pradesh beat West Bengal by 25-16, 25-14 and 25-12 points in straight sets. Similarly, in another match of Volleyball, Uttar Pradesh beat Chhattisgarh by 25-19, 25-15 and 25-15 points.
