LG Mathur interacts with various public delegations at Kargil

 

Felicitates players of 1st Ladakh Taekwondo Training Camp organized by Ladakh Taekwondo Association

 

KARGIL JULY 05, 2021: On the 2nd day of his Kargil visit, Lieutenant Governor Ladakh, Radha Krishna Mathur was called upon by various public delegations at Tourist Facilitation Center here today.

More than 15 delegations comprising the members of the LAHDC, Kargil, BDC Chairpersons, PRI members, representatives of various religious, political and social organizations and individual apprised the LG Ladakh about their issues, grievances, demands and developmental needs.

The issues projected mainly included the earliest possible civil air connectivity in Kargil, vacation of Lower Kurbathang  Plateau, re-alignment issues of Kargil-Zanskar Road NH-301, empowerment of Panchayati Raj institutions, enhancement of MG-NREGA wages, inclusion of Kargil Town under ALC category, up-gradation and widening of Kargil-Batalik Road and other related demands.

The delegations also projected their demands with regard to the general issues of development pertaining to their respective areas.

The LG gave a patient hearing to all issues, concerns and grievances of the delegations and assured them to consider the issues for suitable follow up.

Earlier, the LG Ladakh attended the concluding ceremony of the 1st Ladakh Taekwondo Training Camp organized by the Ladakh Taekwondo Association and felicitated players who participated in the camp by presenting them certificates.

LG Mathur said that the UT Administration will extend all possible support to the Ladakh Taekwondo Association with updated sports facilities and advanced training sessions to the players.

The participating players demonstrated skills and techniques of Taekwondo on the occasion.
