Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that the limits of divisions and districts need to be redefined to meet the future needs. A committee will be set up to study the matter. This will begin from Indore division on a pilot basis. He also gave instructions to complete the redefinition of police station jurisdictions soon. He said that discussions should be held with public representatives.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav was addressing the division level review meeting at Khargone of Indore division today. He reviewed the progress of ongoing development works in the division as well as the law and order situation. He said that such review meetings will now be organized at the district level also.

Chief Secretary Smt. Veera Rana and DGP Shri Sudhir Kumar Saxena joined the meeting through video conferencing. Ministers Shri Tulsiram Silavat, Shri Vijay Shah, Sushri Nirmala Bhuria and Shri Nagar Singh Chauhan along with MPs, MLAs, mayors and chairpersons of local bodies and officers of administration and police were present.

Additional Chief Secretary in-charge of Indore division, Shri Malay Srivastava, and nodal officer of police, Additional Director General of Police, Shri Jaideep Prasad were also present.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that police should have bands in all the districts. Action has been taken for this. He directed that sufficient number of members should be in the police band. On the basis of consent, Home Guard Jawans should also be included in the police band. In case consent is not obtained, then band players should be recruited in Home Guard. During the review of law and order, he directed that the work of redefining the boundaries of police stations should be completed soon incorporating the suggestions from people’s representatives. A committee at the district level should be set up and the task should be done within fixed time-limit.

Dr. Yadav said that for effective monitoring of crimes, CCTV cameras should now be installed through Panchayats at major intersections and public places of villages. He also gave instructions to increase the number of CCTV cameras in cities. He said that this should be done with people’s cooperation.

 Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that in view of the upcoming Simhastha, an action plan should be made for construction of new ghat in Omkareshwar and arrangements for darshan. He also gave instructions to strengthen the security arrangements of the visitors. Establishment of cyber police stations in each district was also discussed.

People’s representatives appreciated the decisions of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav to review the action taken to effectively enforce the ban on uncontrolled use of DJs and loudspeakers. He described this work as a step for health protection. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav urged all the representatives of people to make proposals for development works and send them immediately through the collectors of their respective districts.

Indore Range Inspector General of Police Shri Rakesh Gupta informed regarding the postings made in the police department in Indore division, sanctioned posts of police, available posts and vacant posts.

The progress of cancellation of bail of selected habitual criminals, restrictive actions taken under Arms Act, Excise Act, NDPS Act and various sections, law and order, welfare activities etc. were also reviewed.

Divisional Commissioner Shri Mal Singh, Indore Police Commissioner Shri Makrand Deuskar, Inspector General of Police Indore Zone Shri Rakesh Gupta, DIG Rural Shri Chandrashekhar Solanki, Collectors of all the districts of the division, Superintendent of Police and other officers were present.
