MCM holds Intercollege Flower Arrangement Competition

CHANDIGARH 26 April 2022:-  

The Department of Botany and Add-on course in Floriculture and Landscaping, Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, Chandigarh organised an Inter-College Flower Arrangement Competition on the theme ‘Floral Diversity and Rejuvenation’. The competition aimed at harnessing the talent and creativity of the students while educating them about floral diversity. Keeping in mind the theme of the competition, the participants prepared floral layouts with apt titles such as ‘Des Rangila’, ‘Like a wild flower, she spent her days allowing herself to grow’, ‘Life is short so make everyday an adventure’, ‘Kudrat ne adhar banaya, jeevo ne ghar banaya’, etc. The entries were judged on the metrics of creativity and concept. In all, 21 participants belonging to the different colleges of Chandigarh took part in the event.
Principal Dr. Nisha Bhargava expressed appreciation for the creativity displayed by the participants. She said that such competitions are imperative for holistic development of the students and providing them a platform for showcasing their talent.
