MCM holds Novel Food Product Development Competition

Chandigarh 18 June 2022 :- The Food Science Department of Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, Chandigarh, in collaboration with Olitia Food Pvt. Ltd., Jaipur, organised Novel Food Product Development Competition under Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. Dr. Ashish Singh, Principal Scientist, NDRI, Karnal was the Chief Guest on this occasion. The competition required the participants to develop innovative recipes incorporating Olitia products. The over 52 enterprising participants made novel recipes like thandai fruit chaat, watermelon gulkand cupcake, gulkand oats payasam, sharbat elaichi cake, thandai shahi tukda and much more, displaying their creative and innovative acumen.
Principal Dr. Nisha Bhargava lauded the creative genius of the participants and motivated them to keep working towards honing their innovation skills. She added that such competitions are great platforms for students to explore their potential and display their talent, thereby encouraging excellence.

2nd: Seeya Arora and Deeksha
3rd: Prabhjot Kaur and Harmeet Kaur
4th: Sejal and Nadika
5th: Kanika Miglani and Harleen Kaur
