MCM holds Poster Making Contest on Ragging
CHANDIGARH, 26 OCTOBER:
The Anti-Ragging Cell of Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, Chandigarh, under the aegis of its Internal Quality Assurance Cell, organized a Poster Making Contest on the theme of ‘Say No to Ragging’. Aiming to sensitize the students about the menace of ragging, the contest drew an enthusiastic response from students of all streams and classes. As many as 58 young artists painted colorful posters with innovative and meaningful messages highlighting the ills of ragging. The first three prize winners were awarded cash prizes.
Principal Dr.Nisha Bhargava lauded this initiative and said that the college is proud to be a ragging-free zone wherein emphasis is laid on grooming the students to be responsible citizens who respect the individuality and rights of others.
The posters by Ms. Samiksha (BA-III), Ms. Anubha Sharma (BA-III), and Ms. Ravneet (BA-III) were adjudged first, second and third respectively. Ms. Kashvi (BCom-I), Ms. Manpreet (BA-III), and Ms. Anushka (BCom-I) were given Consolation Prizes for their contributions.
