MCM holds Viksit Bharat pledge

The Viksit Bharat Abhiyan Committee of Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, Chandigarh, organised ‘Hamara Sankalp Viksit Bharat’ pledge ceremony on the occasion of International Human Solidarity Day. Taking the pledge, the staff and students vowed to work dedicatedly towards making India a developed and self-reliant nation by 2047- the 100th year of India’s independence. They also pledged to remove any trace of colonial mindset, celebrate our rich heritage, strengthen unity and respect those who protect the country, and perform earnestly the duties of a responsible citizen.

The ceremony infused a sense of renewed vigour among the students who resolved to make Viksit Bharat a reality.

Principal Dr. Nisha Bhargava informed that initiated by Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, Viksit Bharat @2047 envisions to make India a developed nation by 2047, and added that the college has set up a dedicated Committee to work in the direction of realisation of this vision. She said that with the aim of bolstering this quantum leap, the Committee is working proactively and organised Viksit Bharat Awareness drive wherein the youth enthusiastically shared their vision and suggestions for India@2047 and their role in it.
