Chandigarh, September 7- The selection of Haryana State teams for participation in National Level Volleyball, Hockey and Kabaddi Competition (Women/Men) Competition of All India Civil Services will be held on September 10, September 14 and 15 and September 10 and 11, respectively at various venues.
Giving details in this regard, an official spokesperson of the Sports and Youth Affairs Department said that the Volleyball (men/women) trials for the selection of players would be conducted on September 10 at Dronacharya Stadium, District Kurukshetra. Similarly, Hockey (Men) trial will be held on September 14, Hockey (Women) trial will be held on September 15 at Hockey Astro turf Habri, District Kaithal, Kabaddi (Men) trial on September 10 and Kabaddi (Women) trial on September 11 at Bhim Stadium in district Bhiwani. He said that officers and employees working in all Departments and offices will have to come to the said venue by 10 am to participate in the selection competition. He said that as per the instructions of the Central Civil Services Cultural and Sports Board, officers and employees of Board, Corporation, Police Department, Electricity Board and HSIDC will not be able to participate in this competition.
He said that the nodal officers and the concerned District Sports and Youth Programme Officers would constitute a committee to select the players participating in Volleyball, Hockey and Kabaddi competitions from the state of Haryana. He said that the duties of coaches have also been fixed for the selection of the team.
