National Lok Adalat held in Kargil
Kargil, December 12
A National Lok Adalat was held in Kargil here today during which two benches were constituted, one each at District Court Complex Kargil and Munsif Court Drass. The bench at Court Complex Kargil comprised of the Munsiff/JMIC, Sankoo Tsering Wangyal as Chairman and Advocate Khadim Hussain as Member while as the bench at Drass comprised of the Munsif Drass/Additional Special Mobile Magistrate, Drass Tsewang Phuntsog and Tehsildar, Drass Asgar Ali .
A total of 121 cases were taken up for hearing during the Lok Adalat out of which 102 cases of different nature were settled amicably. An amount of Rs 58200/- was recovered as fine.
Advocates of the Bar Association Kargil and litigants were present during the Lok Adalat.
