The National service Scheme (NSS), Panjab University, Chandigarh celebrated the National Youth Day today i.e on 12.01.2024 to commemorate the birthday of Swami Vivekanand. The celebrations began with lamp lightning by the worthy vice chancellor Prof.Renu Vig ,DUI Prof. Rumina Sethi, DSW (W) Prof. Simrit Kahlon and other authorities of Panjab University.
Dr.Parveen Goyal, NSS Coordinator formally welcomed all the dignitaries of Panjab University. Prof.Renu Vig addressed the audience and motivated the NSS cadets, she emphasized that “Hardwork is the Key to success”. Prof.Rumina Sethi addressed the audience and congratulated the whole NSS team for celebrating the National Youth day. She deliberated on the impact of Swami Vivekanand on the Youth. On the eve of National Youth day NSS took the privilege of releasing a calendar which includes the various activities to be held in 2024. Such kind of an activity is first of a kind by the NSS, Panjab University, Chandigarh. The calendar was released in the presence of esteemed Vice Chancellor, DUI, NSS Program officers and other authorities of Panjab University. The chill weather showed no hindrance to the NSS cadets in performing their activities and cultural events with sincierity, and discipline.
The programme was followed with the funfilled Lohri celebrations.Everyone enjoyed the celebrations with music,dhol and dance.
