To ensure timely purchase, lifting and payment formula was being implemented in the district, the district administration had ensured payment of Rs. 635 crore into farmers’ bank accounts during the ongoing wheat procurement.
Divulging the details Deputy Commissioner Mr. Tej Partap Singh Phoolka said that administration was leaving no stone unturned to ensure hassle-free and smooth wheat procurement.
Meanwhile, DFSC Atinder Kaur said that as on April 28, 4,05,764 MT of wheat has arrived in the mandis of the district out of which 3,94,855 MT has been procured by various procurement agencies like Pungrain, Markfed, PUNSUP, PSWC and FCI.
