PUNJAB GOVT COMMITTED TO RESOLVE GRIEVANCES OF EMPLOYEES: JAURAMAJRA
—HEALTH MINISTER CALLS ON EMPLOYEES UNIONS TO LISTEN TO THEIR DEMANDS

The Punjab Health Minister, Mr. Chetan Singh Jauramajra held a meeting with various health employee unions here on Wednesday afternoon to resolve their grievances and genuine demands.
Taking an initiative himself, Jauramajra has called this meeting with employees’ unions in the health department so that their issues could be addressed without any delay. In this meeting representatives of Mass Media Employees and Officers Association, Contract Multipurpose Health Employees Union, NHM Employees Union Punjab, NRHM Employee’s Association, Punjab, RBSK Employee’s Association, Contract MPHW Female Union, 2211 Contract MPHW Female Association, ASHA Workers and ASHA Facilitator Union were present.
Interacting with the employees Jauramajra said “I am well aware that our health employees have some issues that need to be addressed soon. Hence I have called union leaders to resolve their grievances without any delay and I assure them that they will not need to rely on agitations to get their demands fulfilled”.
“Our health staff did commendable work to control Covid-19 in the state that’s why I always respect the sentiments and demands of our health employees”, he added.
Jauramajra informed that a healthy discussion has been conducted with the unions about their demands, adding he said the Punjab government led by chief minister Mr. Bhagwant Mann has committed to the resolve the genuine demands.
Jouramajra made an appeal to the health employees to work with dedication and more efficiently so that the general public shouldn’t face any inconvenience in getting health services.
After this meeting Ranbir Singh Dhandey, President, Mass Media Officers Association expressed satisfaction and said that It was a great gesture of the Health Minister that he himself called the employee’s unions and we welcome his initiative”. He said “All the unions have shared their grievances and demands with the health minister and senior health officials. We are hopeful that the present government will script new history in the favour of government employees”.
Among others, Ajoy Sharma, Secretary, Health and Family Welfare, Punjab, Dr Abhinav Trikha, MD, National Health Mission, Punjab, Dr Ranjeet Singh Ghotra, Director, Health and Family Welfare, and Dr Ravinderpal Kaur, Director of Health Services Punjab were also present in the meet.
