As per the able guidance of Worthy Adviser to the Administrator, Worthy Health Secretary & directions of Director Health Services-cum-Drugs Controller, U.T Chandigarh, a joint team comprising of Mr. Tajinder Singh and Mr. Amit Lakhanpal, Drugs Inspectors, Chandigarh Administration on 02.01.2023 at around 08:30 PM raided at M/s Burail Medicos (earlier named as Singh Medicos), Ekta Market, Burail, Sector 45, Chandigarh .
During the search of the premises, seven type of the Habit-forming Drugs were recovered, which were seized by joint team of the Drug Control Wing. The seized drugs included 3334 Capsules and 630 Tablets of Tramadol, Tepantadol and Pregabalin – 300mg. The market value of the seized drugs on MRP was approximately Rs. 90,000/-. Further, the team observed that neither the purchase, sale records were kept nor mandatory Schedule H1 register was kept by the firm. The raid was concluded at 10:30 PM.
The seized drugs will be produced before the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Chandigarh. The show-cause notice regarding the discrepancies/violations of Drugs and Cosmetic Act, 1940 has been served to the Chemist Shop by the Drugs Controller-cum-Licensing Authority. Such activities will be continued in the future and all concerned are hereby warned not to indulge in unethical sale/stock/supply of Drugs liable to be misused otherwise strict action will be taken against the Violators of the Drugs and Cosmetic Act/Rules.
