Chandigarh, February 17– Haryana Additional Chief Secretary Health, Rajeev Arora lauded the – Haryana Health Department Field Cricket Team and was presented the winning trophy by the Team here today.

The Haryana Health Department Field Team won the trophy of the Second Inter-Department State Level Cricket Tournament after beating the cricket team of the Haryana Civil Secretariat which was recently held at Tau Devi Lal Stadium.

Appreciating the efforts of the team, Arora said that the team has performed brilliantly and we are proud of them.

Sharing details of the match, an official spokesperson of the Health Department said that Deputy Civil Surgeon, Jind, Dr. J.K. Maan was the captain of the team of the Health Department. Among other members of the team were SMO Ambala, Dr Sheelkant Pajni, M.O. Karnal, Dr. Ajay Chikkara, M.O. Hisar, Dr. Mohit Dhanda, M.O. Hisar, Dr Sameer Kamboj, M.O. Jind, Dr. Ashok Mahla, M.O. Charkhi Dadri, Dr, Abhishek Jangra, M.O. Siwani, Dr. Upender Sheoran, M.O. Rewari, Dr. Pankaj Yadav, M.O. Hisar, Dr. Harsh Narang, M.O. Hisar, Dr. Vishnu Mittal and M.O. Jhajjar, Dr Sandeep Dalal.

The spokesperson said that the final match was held between the Health Department Field Team and the team of Haryana Civil Secretariat on February 13, 2021. To decide the winner of the Tournament a superover was kept which was won by the team of the Health Department. Dr. Ajay Chikkara won the Man of the Match in the final match while Dr. Harsh Narang and Dr. Upender Sheoran were declared the ‘Man of the Match’ in the semi-finals. The highest wicket taker of the tournament was Dr. Upender Sheoran.
