’Rashtriya Shaheed Samark’ being built in Ambala will give a new identity to innumerable unsung heroes of the first war of independence of 1857- Home Minister

Chandigarh, August 16- Haryana’s Home, Urban Local Bodies and Health Minister, Sh. Anil Vij said that the ‘Rashtriya Shaheed Samark’ being built in Ambala will honour innumerable heroes at the national and international level. He said that the work on the interiors of the Memorial in Ambala would start soon.

        Shri Vij was presiding over a meeting organized in connection with the War Memorial being built at Ambala here today.  Haryana Chief Secretary Sh. Vijai Vardhan, Additional Chief Secretary of Public Works Department Sh. Alok Nigam, Director General Information, Public Relations and Languages Department Dr. Amit Agrawal and other officers were present in the meeting.

        The Home Minister also said that from the point of view of tourism, the national level monument will leave its imprint and will come on the map of the country.  Many tales of unsung heroes will be displayed here. He directed the officials concerned that every inch of the space of the memorial should be used.

        Apart from this, wide publicity will be done regarding the memorial in buses and railway stations.
