SDM Drass reviews establishment of COVID-19 screening points at Meenamarg
KARGIL, APRIL 01, 2021: In order to discuss various measures required to be taken up for establishment of COVID-19 screening points at Meenamarg check-post, Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Drass Ghulam Asgar held a meeting of the concerned officers at Conference Hall Dak Bungalow Drass here today.
Block Medical Officer Drass Dr Reyaz Ahmad, Block Development Officer Ghulam Rasool, Zonal Education Officer Ghulam Nabi besides other sub divisional officers were present in the meeting.
Various necessary measures required to be taken up by different departments with regard to screening of inbound passengers on the opening of Zojila Pass were discussed threadbare in the meeting and various decisions were taken accordingly.
The SDM directed the concerned officers to put in place all timely measures so as to ensure foolproof screening of all inbound passengers at Meenamarg before they enter into Ladakh.
Later, the SDM along the concerned officers also visited the Meenamarg check-point and inspected the construction of screening sheds. He directed the BMO and ZEO to press into service additional manpower so as to ensure that every single passenger goes through proper screening before they enter into Ladakh after the opening of Zojila pass.
