SAIF PU organized a special lecture on “Research Collaboration opportunities: Humanities and STEM” by Prof. John Shanahan, Associate Dean, Professor of English, DePaul University, Chicago, USA, today.
Prof. John emphasized on correlation of humanities, science through interfaces, different algorithms using artificial intelligence and machine learning. He further enlightened the audience about concept of two teachers teaching the same class through sharing of classroom/lab.
The lecture was greatly admired by audience from various science and humanities departments, for invoking thoughtfulness about merging the different disciplines of education as per mandate of National Education Policy 2020 and thinking off of the research problems from a human’s perspective as whole.
Prof. Ganga Ram Chaudhary Director SAIF and Prof. Deepti Gupta Dean International Affairs felicitated the speaker. SAIF PU introduced an Award of Honour series to felicitate the hard-working employees of SAIF. Anoop Patyal bagged the first Award of Honour for his dedicated services to the department.
