-TEAMS ARE HOLDING NAKAS TO CONDUCT CHECKING

Taking strict action to check arrival of paddy from other states in Barnala grain markets, the Deputy Commissioner Barnala Mr Kumar Sourabh Raj has constituted special checking teams.
Deputy Commissioner said that at all the five market committees including Barnala, Tapa, Dhanaula, Mehal Kalan and Bhadaur, tehsildars and naib tehsildars are leading these checking teams. The teams include police employees, employees of assistant taxation commissioner office, food and civil supplies department employees and market committee employees. The teams will closely monitor respective areas to ensure that paddy from other states does not pilfer into Barnala markets. If a team finds paddy from other states, due action will be taken as per the rules.
He added that for ensuring overall smooth paddy procurement with proper arrangements in place, a district level team has also been formed. The district level team includes District Controller Food and Civil Supplies, District Mandi Officer, District Manager Markfed, District Manager Punsup and District Manager Warehouse.
