Sports Minister honoured with Rugby World Cup ball

With the concrete efforts of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab government will accelerate the speed of industrial development in the state and make Punjab the leading state of the country. Punjab is known for manufacturing sports goods and state government would further strengthened this industry.

It was stated by Punjab Sports Minister Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer while visiting the exhibition center during the 5th Progressive Punjab Investment Summit-2023 at the Indian School of Business (ISB) campus in SAS Nagar. The sports minister was also honoured with the Rugby ball which to be used in the Rugby World Cup being held in France this year.
Meet Hayer said that it is a matter of pride for the state that while Jalandhar-made rugby balls will be used in the Rugby World Cup, Punjab-made football was used in FIFA World Cup and Punjab-made netball was used in the Birmingham Commonwealth Games-2022. He said that though the Indian team may not participate in some sports competitions, but India represents through these sports goods.
