Chandigarh, November 3:– Haryana Chief Secretary, Sh. Sanjeev Kaushal said that all arrangements have been made by the state government to ensure smooth and cheating free conduct of CET (Common Eligibility Test) examination. City coordinators have also been appointed in the respective districts. Besides this, NTA agency has appointed observers to check the cheating in the examination. These appointed observers have been taken from outside the state.

While presiding over a review meeting regarding CET examination with Deputy Commissioners and Superintendents of Police through video conferencing here today, the Chief Secretary directed the Deputy Commissioners to constitute flying squads under the chairmanship of IAS or HCS officers in their respective districts by this evening. He said that these teams should keep a close vigil on every activity before and during the examination.

Candidates will get free travel facility in Haryana Roadways for CET exam

He said that free transport facility will be provided to the candidates who have been going to appear in CET exam on November 5 and 6, 2022. Free travel facility will also be provided to one family member of the aspirant who has been going to assist the female candidate to the examination centre. The concerned family member will have to produce Parivar Pahchan Patra while availing the advantage of free travel facility.

The Chief Secretary said that arrangements have been made by the Transport Department to take the candidates from the nearest sub-divisional bus stand or the nearest district-level bus stand to the nearest sub-divisional bus stand or district-level bus stand of the concerned examination centre. For this, the Haryana government have arranged 13,700 buses. A total of 82 routes have been identified from one district to another and from one sub-division to another.

Sh. Kaushal also directed to identify shuttle routes in the districts to make arrangements for transporting the candidates from the sub-divisional bus stand or district-level bus stand to the examination centres. He further directed to initiate meeting with the auto rickshaw unions to take their cooperation for the convenience of transport within the cities.

He said that the time table of various trains would also be displayed for the convenience of the candidates so that the candidates would not face any problem in taking the train for commuting for the examination.

Ensure advance booking by visiting the nearest bus stand depot/sub depot from November 3 to 4

The Chief Secretary said that directions have been issued to all the General Managers for advance seat booking at the nearest bus stands depot/sub depot. All the candidates have been urged to take their seat number by ensuring their advance booking  at the nearest depot/sub depot on November 3 and 4, 2022 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Exam can be taken even if fee status is pending

Sh. Kaushal said that some candidates had paid the fee at the time of registration and their fee payment is also showing verified on E-gras, but due to some technical reasons, the fee status is not recorded in the database of Haryana Staff Selection Commission. Such candidates need not worry, as separate counters will be arranged at the examination centres to issue provisional admit cards to such candidates. Such candidates must carry a photo ID proof with them and they will be allowed to enter the examination centres only after verifying their identity. It is mandatory that the candidates must reach the examination centres 1 hour early than the time of their shift so that they can get their provisional admits cards issued.

The Chief Secretary said that separate counters and lines have been arranged at the examination centres for such candidates, whose photos will not match as per the admit card. He also directed that the transport plan should also be shared with the Superintendents of Police and General Managers of Roadways. Also, wide publicity should be given about the route plan through social media and other means.

Scribe to carry their photo ID proof

It was clarified in the meeting that the self-declaration form has been given on the admit card of the candidates with disabilities and the candidate who needs the facility of scribe (person writing the paper) will have to fill this form and bring such person with him. Provided that the scribe must possess an educational qualification below the minimum educational qualification prescribed for the CET examination and the scribe should carry a photo ID proof with him.

Accommodation will be arranged for the candidates and their families

He said that arrangements would also be made for the accommodation of the candidates and their accompanying family member. Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal has given guidelines that there should not be any inconvenience to the candidates and their families appearing for the examination. Dharamshalas have been arranged in the districts and the entire system is being ensured by coordinating with social and religious institutions as well.

Admit cards available, can be downloaded from today

It was apprised in the meeting that the admit card download for CET has started from Thursday. Candidates can download the admit card by visiting the https://hsscrec22.samarth.ac.in He said that the candidates can call the Haryana Staff Selection Commission’s toll free number- 18005728997 for any type of examination query.

On November 5 and 6, this examination will be held in total 4 shifts and in each shift on an average around 2.80 lakh candidates will appear for the examination. Around 11.36 lakh candidates have registered for the CET exam. This includes about 6.83 lakh male candidates and about 4.38 lakh female candidates. There are around 9700 physically disabled candidates.

Verification of candidate will be done though face authentication

The Chief Secretary said that this time the identity of the candidates will be verified through face authentication to prevent the possibility of cheating or paper leak in the CET exam. If the identity is not verified, aspirants will not be allowed to enter the examination centres.

Exam time will be 105 minutes

100 minutes have been given to mark 100 questions in the CET examination. However, additional 5 minutes will be given to the candidates to fill the 5th option. Thus the total time of the exam will be 105 minutes. On November 5 and 6, the exam will be held in 2 shifts. The timing of the morning exam will be from 10 am to 11:45 am. The reporting time for this shift will be 8:30 am. Similarly, the evening shift timings will be from 3 pm to 4:45 pm. The reporting time for this shift will be 1:30 pm.

Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Sh. V. Umashankar, Principal Secretary Transport Department, Sh. Navdeep Virk, Transport Commissioner, Sh. Virender Kumar Dahiya, Special Secretary, Department of Personnel, Sh. Pankaj, Secretary of Haryana Staff Selection Commission, Sh. Virat and other officers were present in the meeting.
