Review of Board of Secondary Education work

School Education Minister Shri Uday Pratap Singh has instructed the board officials to ensure strict action against those guilty in the board examinations so that the examination system can be conducted systematically in future. Education Minister Shri Singh was reviewing the work of the Board of Secondary Education in Bhopal on Tuesday. On this occasion, Vice President of the Board Smt. Rama Mishra, Board Secretary Shri Krishna Dev Tripathi, Additional Secretary Sushri Sheela Dahima and officers were present.
Sharing information about other schemes of the board in the meeting, the School Education Minister said that a new scheme has been started for theoretical examination and internal assessment in the high school and higher secondary examination syllabus. NCC has been included as an optional subject in the board exams in the state. It was also informed that Central Sector Scheme for Scholarship has been started with the help of the Central Government to encourage talented students of low income group. Under the scheme, 4299 students in the state are selected on the basis of merit. Its benefit is earmarked for 50 percent boys and the remaining 50 percent girl students. Information about the renovation of the assets of the board was also given in the meeting.
Model School lauded
The School Education Minister praised the schools of the board running in Rewa and Jaora in Ratlam district besides Bhopal. He said that the board should run such schools at every divisional headquarters of the state.
Helpline should be publicized
The School Education Minister instructed to widely publicize the helpline run by the board. He directed that the helpline number 18002330175 should be publicized in the notice boards of all private and government schools of the state. Through this helpline, psychological counseling is provided to the students during the examination on the said toll-free number. The board makes efforts to boost the morale of the students who have failed in Class 10th and 12th board exams by counseling them. Through the helpline number, subject experts help students choose their career.
