(Urges Punjab Government to provide compensation of at least Rs. 50 lakh & govt job to a family member of every martyr)

Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) President Sukhbir Singh Badal today mourned the demise of five army men including three from Punjab in an encounter in Jammu and Kashmir today and urged the Punjab Government to provide at least Rs. 50 lakh compensation & govt job to a family member of every martyr.
In a statement issued here, the , SAD President said that news of the encounter has shocked every Indian particularly Punjabis as the nation had lost five brave soldiers.He said that as is always the case Punjabis were at forefront in making the supreme sacrifice for the nation with three out of the five martyrs belonging to Punjab. He said the land of Guru Sahib had the blessings of the almighty due to which this land produced brave men who were not only soldiers but also farmers who provided food to every citizen of India. He also urged Punjab Government that apart from Rs. 50 lakh compensation, a government job should also be given to the next of kin of the martyrs.
Mr. Badal also shared grief with families of Naib Subedar Jaswinder Singh of Mana Talwandi Distt Kapurthala, Naik Mandeep Singh Chalha Distrit Gurdaspur, Sepoy Gajjan Singh Panchranda Distt Ropar, Sepoy Saraj Singh Akhtyarpur Dist Shahjahanpur UP and Sepoy Vaisakh Odanavattam distt Kollam Kerala and prayed to almighty to give peace to departed souls and strength to family to bear this irreparable loss.
